My story

Meet Nia Lock — the crisis manager.

Bubbly, hard to rattle, and happiest when I’m solving someone else’s problem. Here’s how I got here.

I'm a British farmer's daughter. I grew up in the south of England surrounded by every kind of animal, and I've called Madrid home for the last ten years.

I'm bubbly, I love to laugh, and I've learned that the only thing that gives me a real sense of achievement is helping other people. When others are happy, I'm happy.

School wasn't built for me. I have dyscalculia and ADHD — both undiagnosed for most of my life — and for a long time I felt like I didn't belong.

Horse riding is what turned that around. It gave me confidence and mental endurance: when you fall off, you get back up. I later took that same discipline into the ring as a competitive kickboxer — becoming one of the best in Spain — and I've modelled part-time along the way.

All of it taught me the same thing: stay composed, keep your nerve, and get back up. That became the way I work — steady, resourceful, and impossible to rattle.

If you fall down seven times, you stand up eight.

Professionally, I'm certified by London Business School in digital marketing — their Mastering Digital Marketing: SEM, SEO, Social Media and Beyond (2022) and Mastering Digital Marketing in an AI World, the latter earning an Exemplary Assignment distinction.

That sits on top of 15+ years in SEO, Google Ads and marketing, plus custom web design and development — the strategy behind businesses that get found and grow. I'm exceptionally good at Google CPC campaigns, and there's nothing I love more than making someone's phone ring and getting clicks to their website.

I manage the customer-facing side of our family businesses and help take them to the next level — and I love doing the same for other people's.

The Support Queen is where it all comes together: SEO, custom websites, support systems and the development to build them — the empathy and the technical skill in one place. Whatever is customer-facing, I can make it easier, better, and actually build it.

The person behind it

A little about me

Based

Madrid, Spain · UK-born · serving clients online, anywhere

Education

London Business School — Mastering Digital Marketing (2022) & Digital Marketing in an AI World (Exemplary Assignment distinction)

Known for

Being the calm "crisis manager" who also happens to tell everyone what to do

Loves

Horse riding, beauty & makeup, and time with my partner and daughter

Also

Former competitive kickboxer — one of the best in Spain — and a part-time model

Animals

A cat called Garfield (a girl, and no, she doesn't like lasagne) and a corn snake named Ghostly Noodle — our resident escape artist

Also qualified

A trained chef with commercial-kitchen, food-hygiene & professional-cleaning qualifications (and a passion for food my waistline resents) — plus a fully qualified beautician (manicures, pedicures, acrylics), saved strictly for family pamper days.

How I actually learned this

90% self-taught — and that's the point.

Courses gave me the building blocks. Then I went and taught myself the rest — I've never been someone who just sits in a classroom learning that 2+2=4. I'm relentlessly self-motivated: present me with a problem and I won't sleep until I've figured it out.

So you won't get a rehearsed, textbook script from me. You get advice forged from real business problems — my own trials and errors, my own mistakes, and what I've personally seen work and watched fail. That, to me, is worth more than any theory.

What drives me

How I show up for your business.

People-first

When others are happy, I’m happy. Every system I build starts from how the customer feels on the other end.

Systems thinker

I fix the root cause, not the symptom — so fewer problems happen and the hard ones get easier.

Unshakeable

Kickboxing, horse riding and running businesses taught me the same thing: stay calm, keep your nerve, get back up.

Life outside the inbox

A bit of my world.

Garfield, a ginger rescue cat
Garfield — rescued at four weeks old after we found her in a field, and nursed back to health. Now my daughter's little sidekick and our official office mascot.
Ghostly Noodle, an albino corn snake
Ghostly Noodle — our corn snake and resident escape artist. If you ever need help breaking out of jail, he's your guy: a master of locked-cage escapes and world-class hide and seek.

Let's talk

Like how I think? Let's talk.

Whether it's a one-off crisis or an ongoing partnership, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
